The Quartomoro winery was born in Arborea, in the province of Oristano, as a laboratory of ideas, experiences on Sardinian viticulture and oenology. It was founded by the oenologist and winemaker Piero Cella in 2011 with the aim of producing wines that were an expression of the Sardinian territory.
The Quartomoro vineyards extend for a total of 25 hectares and are located in different areas of Sardinia: in Marrubiu, on lands rich in obsidian, Vermentino is grown; in Terralba, on sandy soils, we find ungrafted Bovale vineyards; in the sand of Sulcis, in Calasetta, there is a vineyard still ungrafted by Carignano; in Dorgali the granite welcomes the Cannonau vineyard, while the Muristeddu is grown in the Mandrolisai. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, intervention is reduced to a minimum, in order to respect natural processes as much as possible.
Through continuous research and experimentation, Quartomoro is able to produce elegant and unique wines, which testify to the richness of biodiversity and tell of the highly suited Sardinian terroirs.
